Hello again. Surprise again. I'm here to let you know that our good friend Eric Rogers (aka @Kitchelfilms) has been nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award (West) for the Futurama episode "The Silence of the Clamps" that he wrote for the last season that aired this past 2011 on Comedy Central. It is always great to see the series being nominated, and I'm sure Eric is trilled to know his hard work led to this awesome news of being nominated. Here you go the other nominees in the Animation Category for this 2012:
As usual, a lot of Simpsons nominations this year, but Futurama already won this category in 2011 with the amazing episode of Ken Keeler, "The Prisoner of Benda" Good luck to Eric Rogers, and if he doesn't win, the WGA will get some clamping with... Hi. Surprise. Well, not many know what happened to me since December, 2011. I had an anterior cruciate ligament injury and a tear of the external meniscus in my right knee.
(links to Wikipedia offline on January 18th, 2012 due to SOPA/PIPA protest) Since I usually update this site, The Futurama Point, in my free time after work, I've been unable to do it, since I'm using that time for my rehabilitation, that lasts a very long one.. about 6 months. Now, I will update the site sooner, but all this time I had very hard moments that I need you to understand. Speaking of the SOPA/PIPA, I might join the strike tomorrow.. not that this site is crucial to the Internet, and to be honest, I have not updated it since last year, but I think this protest should be considered real so all the world can see what will happen if we start blocking the Internet, because this (SOPA/PIPA ideas) are going to affect all of us in some way if governments around the world try to approve this kind of crazy laws in order to help a bunch of people, that to be honest, have already LOTS of money... don't matter how you se it... it is always about money. by JavieR / December 24, 2011 / 00:11
Welcome back. I'm been dealing with a knee surgery, nothing bad, feels like two gunshots in my leg. TFP (slurmed) has been kinda active on Twitter, Facebook and Google+, so if you want more real-time Futurama info, reach me there while I try to recover from the surgery ASAP.
Now, I've plenty of fan stuff to add, and I wanna start with the well known Gulliver63, and a neat number of 30 images I didn't add all this time (sorry..). Many images feature parodies, like Morgan Proctor as an Avatar, Leela with Elmer from Looney Tunes, Planet of the Centaurs, anime and totem style (featured today), The PE crew in Peanuts style and with the Venture Bros., etc. There are also other new interesting old school sci-fi images and covers featuring the Planet Express crew, and more that you've to see to believe.I've also added the latest images of Leena (aka Leela Kill) and the fanart feature some interesting crossovers of Fry with Tin Tin, and also Leela, Fry and Amy in the showers, 2 great portraits of Leela, and a comic image of bender before and after killing all humans. Seems 13 is the lucky number today, since I also added 13 new images by SuperPrincessPink, featuring her bright color pop style in her Futurama images. Some situations are kinda estrange featuring the double headed Fry, 3 portraits of Fry in different styles, and some other images she created lately. The final artist of the day is Alanquest and 4 of his images. The 1st two, feature Leela in one, and Cubert + Nibbler + Seymour... bot images featurng the neon style used in some Futurama posters from the SDCC 2011. The other 2 images are fanart made in the sidewalk with chalk.. amazing images both featuring Fry nd Leela, one in an explotion, and the other fighting a brainslug.I'll try to add a Xmas feature tomorrow, in case you are away, a Merry Red Xmas! by JavieR / December 5, 2011 / 19:41
Once again people, Futurama is nominated for not one but two Annie Awards 2012. The Annie Awards are the Oscars of Animated shows, and it is always great to know the Futurama is out there! The Series are competing in these categories:WRITING IN A TELEVISION PRODUCTION
The best luck to both nominees! Everyone, keep your 7-leaf clover in your hand this upcoming Saturday, February 4, 2012 at UCLA's Royce Hall in Los Angeles, California when the winner will be announced. SOURCE: Annie Awards by JavieR / November 30, 2011 / 17:24
Hello people. I can finally update TFP. I've been assembling a new PC, since my 10 year old motherboard died about 11 days ago. I had trouble finding some components... and the HHD drives are now very expensive.. like titanium on the episode "A Head in the Polls".
Well, time for the update. I want to start with a new artist here, he is very talented, and perhaps you've seen some of his comics. I'm talking about of course of Inquisitor-Hein. Today, you'll see 15 new comics that he created, some of them are a single image comics that are very good, like Zoidberg + H.P. Lovecraft, the Reset button wth Fry and Leela just getting married, Ulysses and Homer with Leela, Fry and Bender. There are also other more complex comics with great story and some very funny finish, Fry goes Heavy Metal, Professional at Work, Space Battle and Scruffy vs. the Amazonians. All the comics have great style and an amazing detail that you can't miss.In other stuff, new fanart is also here for everyone to enjoy! The first one is kik0thek1ller with a great sexy lineart image of Leela for all of you to enjoy. 2 very interesting images, one of Fry and other of Leela, showing them from toddlers to adults were created by Tastes-Like-Fry. The final artist of the day is TheFightingMongooses. I've added his latest 7 fanarts, and I must say that he has created some very nice images. An scene of Leela and Fry adapted to the 50s based in the episode "All the Presidents' Heads", a sad Leela (from Universe 1) returning the diamond scrunchy Fry (from Universe 1) gave her, Fry as James Dean in rebel without a cause (riding a motorcycle), and 2 great themed portraits of Leela, the first holding a sword, and the other in a classic nude pose that looks very good. by JavieR / November 13, 2011 / 11:32
We are always looking for more Futurama merchandise to collect, and also to wear. That's why I'm glad to let you know about the possible upcoming models of tees (or t-shirts) featuring Futurama (for boys and girls), created by the people from Ripple Junction.Just go to the survey page added by Ripple Junction and let your voice be heard. There are many designs to vote for... the ones added here are the ones that I think will look great, but there are about 12 different designs. The idea is to give your rating for the tees designs, and I think some of those will be available to buy in the near future. Also, if you are from the USA or Canada, when you answer the survey, Ripple Junction is sending free T-shirts randomly to some of people that voted in the poll.
